Second Day, A New Adventure in Dubai…
Zabeel Park and the Dubai Frame
On the second day of my trip, we’ll slow things down a bit and visit Zabeel Park, located right next to the Al Jafiliya metro station and the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Road. This city park is an oasis of relaxation and a landmark for both locals and visitors. The lush green lawns, palm trees, and beautiful plants of the almost 47-hectare park are all the more impressive when you consider that you’re in the desert. But that’s not all, because in the eastern part of Zabeel Park, a special architectural masterpiece awaits you: the “Dubai Frame.” The name of the structure comes from its resemblance to a picture frame. The 150-meter-high, walkable structure consists of two towers connected by a bridge. The glass floor (don’t worry… it’s absolutely stable) of the bridge offers a good view of the park below. If you look back up, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city, all the way to the sea and the desert! If heights aren’t your thing, that’s okay, because the structure is already incredible from ground level.

Downtown Dubai with Burj Khalifa, Dubai Fountain and Dubai Mall
The “Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall” metro station already announces it. This is where Dubai’s landmark is located: the Burj Khalifa skyscraper. Currently the tallest building in the world, it measures exactly 828 meters from ground to top. The building houses 163 occupied floors, including hotels, offices, and private suites. The highest floor accessible by elevator is the 189th. In just 55 seconds, one of the elevators will take you to the 124th and 125th floors, from where you can experience a simply incredible 360-degree panoramic view. Still not enough highlights? Then check out one of the building’s “gold vending machines.” Instead of cash, you can withdraw gold bars here—what else?! The Burj Khalifa is the epitome of luxury.

Another of Dubai’s top attractions: the Dubai Fountain. Surrounded by Burj Khalifa, The Address Downtown Dubai, and the Dubai Mall, it shoots up to 150 meters high. The water moves to the beat of music and, illuminated by lights, offers an impressive sight. The choreography, set to Arabic or international sounds, takes place every 20 to 30 minutes and can be admired daily between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. The promenade and surrounding hotels offer particularly fantastic views of the water spectacle.
48 Hours in Dubai – A Conclusion?:
A 48-hour window in Dubai certainly won’t allow you to explore the city in every detail, but it’s enough time to form a (lasting) impression. Our itinerary is, of course, only a recommendation and can be customized to your individual needs, but who knows… perhaps this first impression will be enough to inspire you to stay again in the future with more time. This extraordinary desert city, with its traditions, numerous superlatives, and hospitable residents, is definitely worth a visit!

In general, the city offers numerous modern attractions and impressive architecture, including the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and artificial islands such as Palm Jumeirah
The city is also a paradise for luxury lovers with exclusive hotels, shopping malls, and restaurants. Dubai has traditional neighborhoods like Al Bastakiya and souks that offer a glimpse into the local culture. The warm climate, especially in winter, makes Dubai an attractive travel destination.
